rule 001.
I'm a huge lover of XIV lore, so I like to keep lore accurate but I don't mind some bending and creativity, but of course within reason.
rule 002.
I love raising the stakes and delving into darker, more mature subject matters, but of course only if all parties are comfortable.
rule 003.
No canon NPCs/WoLs. Whilst I can appreciate it and have my own WoL-verse and HCs, it's not something I want to actively roleplay with people.
rule 004.
More serious roleplay. Taking time with developing character relationships, or even planning up something pre-established.
rule 005.
No Erp. Not interested! Just isn't something I want to partake in either IC and OOC, not searching for anything like this.
rule 006.
No under 18. Both characters and players, I'm sorry but I won't interact with either. Not something I'm comfortable with, I'm afraid.
intro.
I'm Amis, a freelance illustrator and character designer who has been been playing FFXIV since 2019, but have been roleplaying in general for much, MUCH longer.I'm a huge sucker for FFXIV's version of FFXII lore and enjoy adding to it via the aformentioned source game, so expect to see some little references here and there in order to flesh out some gaps in the FFXIV lore!Don't be afraid to shoot a /tell my way if you spot me, or even a message on Tumblr or Bsky.Tumblr: stalwart-spirit

personality
Determined and hard headed, once Saeed has set his sights on a goal, he will do everything he can in his power to see it through. This comes at the cost of recklessness and getting himself entangled in affairs he might no be able to wrangle himself out of on his own. Stalwart and loyal, the Dalmascan is a trustworthy ally to have by your side though whatever may come.

likes
A heavy smoker, Saeed is hardly seen without his pipe when relaxing, sitting with a hot coffee by his side. Sunny and hot weather is absolutely his favorite, yet despite the temperatures he will insist on wearing layered clothing to feel comfortable.
dislikes
Being cramped and confined is something that undoubtably makes him uncomfortable. Damp and rain is something that'll also bring down his mood. His tastes lean more towards spice, more than likey turning down the offer for anything sweet.

history
For as long as he can remember, Saeed lived on the Imperial controlled streets of Rabanastre, scavenging and thieving with a fellow group of outcast children in order to survive, whilst doing what they could to initially avoid the ire of the armed men and women guarding their hunting grounds.Every day they would witness the discrimination and oppression of their people, have their well earned trades disrupted and distributed among the high ranking Garleans which had quickly settled and taken over their kingdom, previous crafts being streamlined into the creation of machina for war.Eventually Saeed and his group could stand it no longer, coming together to form their own rebellious group of rogues who would disrupt the trade of arms, steal documents and plans and overall try and disrupt the Imperial rule within their cities.Time went on and soon this group would join along with the established Dalmascan Resistance, each making a name for themselves by continuing their work of espionage and disruption, taking on the title Damascus Djinns. Within their ranks, some took on the task of hunting and slaying Espers summoned by the Sect of Germonique, taking on the name of Sword Saints from Ivalician legend, Saeed being one of this number.Soon however the Empire fought back with repressing the Dalmascan uprisings, hunting down and slaughtering countless men and women of the rebellion... It was only lucky that Saeed and a small handful of his previous group managed to escape death and the following destruction of their home, most running for refuge in Eorzea... However Saeed could not admit defeat just yet and with the request of aide in Zadnor he followed the Resistance to the war-torn region, taking part in the siege of the Dalriada and claiming victory for a fellow wayward kingdom. Now with Dalmasca finally gaining freedom from the Empire, Saeed soon moved on to wandering the land with his former companions; recovering from many years of fighting, but now finding himself at a loss of what to do with his life as Dalmasca set its sights on rebuilding.

revolutionary
Long time member of the Dalmascan Resistance, eventually fled for some time into hiding with a few other members before reappearing to assist the Bozjan's with their own resistance in Zadnor before moving on to reclaim Valnain from the Empire. Perhaps you have somehow stumbled across him during this time?

scoundrel
A rogue, a spy, a thief. Saeed prides himself on his dexterity and deft hands in getting a hold on any manner of thing he sets his sights on. Maybe he's stolen something from you, you're seeing him run from the authorities and can't help but be curious, or perhaps you're looking for something to be pilfered and need expert hands to do the job?

Sword Saint
Being trained in the skills of the Ivalician Sword Saints of old, Saeed has faced a handful of Espers during his time within the Dalmascan Resistance, particularily in the time spent on the front lines of Bozja. Such interesting stories to tell, facinating trinkets and keepsakes carried on his person.

Wanderer
Now no longer having a reason to fight, Saeed finds himself travelling the star, seeing the sights and taking whatever work he can find, if worth the coin, of course. No destination is too far, and he prides himself on his ability to venture forth to whatever far corners he can reach in the goal to see it all.
